Petrol, diesel, and CNG prices have increased once again across India, adding to concerns over rising inflation. Petrol has become costlier by 87 paise per litre, diesel by 91 paise per litre, and CNG by ₹1 per kg. This marks the third price hike within just eight days. In Delhi, petrol now stands at ₹99.51 per litre and diesel at ₹92.49 per litre, bringing petrol very close to the ₹100 mark. Other major cities have also seen sharp increases, with Mumbai and Jaipur recording even higher fuel rates. The repeated hikes have led to strong reactions from the public, with many commuters and taxi drivers expressing financial stress as daily expenses continue to rise while incomes remain unchanged. People say the constant increase is making it harder to manage monthly budgets. Officials and reports link the price rise to global factors, including instability in international oil markets and supply concerns related to ongoing geopolitical tensions. The overall situation has intensified the economic burden on common citizens, especially those dependent on transport and fuel-based livelihoods.
