Amid the ongoing Middle East tensions, fighting between Pakistan and Afghanistan has intensified significantly. In a major development, Pakistan carried out its largest airstrike so far on the Afghan capital Kabul. Reports indicate that strikes were conducted at five locations across the city, leaving over 400 people dead and more than 2,800 injured. The operation involved advanced fighter jets, including the F-16 Fighting Falcon and JF-17 Thunder. Massive explosions, fires, and thick black smoke were seen rising across Kabul following the attacks. Targets reportedly included areas near the Afghan Defense Ministry, intelligence headquarters, and residential zones close to the Presidential Palace. A rehabilitation hospital near Kabul International Airport was also reportedly hit, causing severe destruction. Afghanistan has strongly condemned the strikes, calling them “inhumane” and accusing Pakistan of targeting civilian areas. However, Pakistan has denied these claims, stating that only Afghan military bases and weapons depots were targeted, and that explosions were caused by secondary blasts.
