BREAKING: Iran Defies Trump Ultimatum, Strait of Hormuz Tensions Escalate on Day 24

The US-Iran-Israel conflict has intensified on its 24th day, with mounting threats and missile strikes across the Middle East. US President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face attacks on its nuclear power plants. Only 24 hours remain on the deadline, heightening fears of further escalation. Trump’s warning signals an aggressive US posture as Washington seeks to pressure Tehran into submission. Iran, however, has responded defiantly, warning that any US strikes on its power plants will trigger a complete closure of the Hormuz Strait. Tehran has also threatened retaliatory attacks targeting Israeli energy and IT infrastructure, as well as companies with US shares, signaling that regional allies may face collateral impact. Recent developments show an exchange of military strikes and counterstrikes: Iran has launched new waves of missiles and drones targeting US and Israeli positions, while its proxies in Iraq and Lebanon continue attacks on American and allied bases. Iranian forces have claimed to shoot down US fighter jets and drones near strategic locations, further escalating tensions. With both sides employing strategic threats over the Strait of Hormuz, the situation poses serious risks to global energy supply and maritime security. Analysts warn the region may face blackout scenarios, disrupted oil shipments, and broader instability if diplomatic channels remain inactive. The world watches closely as the 24-hour countdown for Trump’s ultimatum continues.
