WhatsApp Outage:Several users reported problems accessing WhatsApp on Friday morning, with many complaining about difficulties logging in and syncing chats across devices. According to outage-tracking platform Downdetector, reports of disruption began climbing sharply around 9 am in India. The website recorded at least 105 user complaints at approximately 12:56 am, signalling a spike in issues linked to the instant messaging service.
Most of the complaints centred on trouble linking devices and delays in chat synchronisation, key features relied upon by millions who use WhatsApp on desktop browsers during work hours.
WhatsApp Down: What Does Downdetector Show?
As per Downdetector, the reported issues trajectory was seen in an upward curve at the time of writing. According to its live outage tracker map, users reported issues from cities such as Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, signalling a pan-country issue.
However, it should be noted that upon independent verification, ABP Live found that both WhatsApp Web and the app were working fine. It could be possible that the outage is being addressed by Meta, and all services should resume soon.
