After a political separation that spanned two decades, cousins Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray united today at a public rally in Mumbai.

Raj Thackeray responded to the language row and criticism against his party workers. He told MNS workers "not to assault people for not speaking Marathi."

Devendra Fadnavis said that while the Thackeray cousins organised the rally to celebrate Marathi, Uddhav chose to speak about politics ‘out of frustration’.

After two decades, the estranged Thackeray cousins -- Uddhav and Raj -- will share public stage and jointly hold a "mega victory gathering" to celebrate the Maharashtra government's roll back of the three-language policy.
