Breaking News: President’s Address Thanked Despite Heavy Sloganeering in House

The proceedings of the Lok Sabha resumed amid continuous disruptions by the opposition, who raised slogans and entered the House with banners and placards. No notices for adjournment motions were allowed. Despite the uproar, listed documents were formally laid on the Table of the House as per the day’s revised agenda. During the session, all amendments moved by opposition members to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address were put to vote and rejected. Subsequently, the Lok Sabha passed the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address, even as the opposition continued its protest. The Speaker repeatedly urged members to maintain the dignity of the House and refrain from bringing banners and placards, stating that such actions violated parliamentary decorum. The Speaker assured members that there would be ample opportunity to discuss the Union Budget and express their views. However, due to the persistent ruckus, the Lok Sabha was adjourned until 2:00 PM. It was also announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Rajya Sabha on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address at 5:00 PM today.
