Cate Blanchett once again proved that she is the ‘Queen of Sustainability’! Ask why? Cate Blanchett arrived at the La Grazia red carpet during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival looking surreal in black Armani Prive gown, which she first wore to the SAG Awards in 2022.

The timeless black gown featuring a plunging neckline enhanced with tonal embellishments in geometric shapes comes with pockets and minimal train, adding old-world Hollywood charm to Cate’s red carpet style.

Armani Prive can never go wrong with tailored silhouettes and no wonder this piece is timeless yet edgy. From the bold neckline to the contemporary pocket-style finesse, each element in this statement gown is couture artistry. We do get it why Cate chose to celebrate this statement gown once again on the red carpet.

As a brilliant actor and a style icon, Cate’s red carpet look was further enhanced with diamond earrings adding sparkle to her monochrome look.

There have been many occasions in the past as well, where Cate has repeated her red carpet gowns and has tweaked them to bring a fresh new look. Remember the iconic golden gown at this year’s Golden Globes? At the Golden Globes 2025, Cate attended the ceremony in the Louis Vuitton golden gown she wore at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in 2024. Cate tweaked the original golden silhouette by enhancing the ensemble with additional beading.

Cate’s style has been a beautiful mix of utilitarian styles as well as glamorous silhouettes. From boxy blazers exuding boss vibes to opulent shimmery gowns embodying opulence, Cate has celebrated every silhouette with elan. Styled by celebrity fashion stylist Elizabeth Stewart, every look Cate Blanchett has adorned has been an extension of the icon’s personality and we would love to see her reimagine more iconic gowns she has adorned over the years.

The Venice International Film Festival which kicked off on August 27 will be on till September 6, 2025. For the opening ceremony, the red carpet saw an array of celebrities including Tilda Swinton, Barbara Palvin, Heidi Klum, Leni Olumi Klum, Francis Ford Coppola, Werner Herzog, Betty Bachz, Pierfrancesco Favino, Rose Villain, Nimi Blackwell, Jury member Brazilian actress Fernanda Torres and Festival host Emanuela Fanelli among others.
