Saraswati Puja Significance 

The celebration of Saraswati Puja is not just a ritual but a profound act of devotion and reverence for the goddess of wisdom. The rituals begin with Saraswati Avahana, an invocation where devotees invite the goddess into their homes or pandals, adorning her idol with flowers and decorations.

Devotees place books, musical instruments and tools before her idol to seek blessings in academics, creativity and professional pursuits. Spiritual hymns, Vedic mantras, and soulful bhajans are recited, filling the atmosphere with positivity and devotion.

Saraswati Puja 2025 Shubh Muhurat

According to Panchang, the auspicious timing for Saraswati Puja in 2025 falls during Purva Ashadha Nakshatra.

1. The puja muhurat will begin at 3:45 PM and end at 6:08 PM, offering a total duration of 2 hours and 23 minutes for conducting the rituals.
2. The Purva Ashadha Nakshatra itself commences at 6:17 AM on September 30 and concludes at 8:06 AM on October 1, 2025, making it the most favourable time for invoking the goddess.

Saraswati Puja Rituals And Puja Vidhi

1. The day of Saraswati Puja begins with devotees taking a holy bath early in the morning, signifying purity of body and soul.
2. The idol of Goddess Saraswati is then invoked with Vedic chants, followed by ritualistic cleansing of her feet.
3. Devotees apply kumkum or chandan paste to the idol and adorn her with fresh flowers.
4. A ghee diya is lit to symbolise enlightenment and offerings of naivedyam are made, which often include white-coloured sweets and delicacies, symbolising purity.
5. Once the prayers are complete, the prasad is distributed among family members and devotees.
6. Alongside, bhajans and devotional songs are performed, creating an aura of spirituality and reverence.
