DeVANS, one of the pioneers of the Indian alcobev industry, recently launched two premium whiskies – GianChand Manshaa and GianChand Adambaraa. Adambaraa is refined and elegant, matured in ex-bourbon casks with flavours of caramel, honey, and apricots. Manshaa, on the other hand, is peated, bold, and smoky, with extended maturation in Jammu’s climate. Both whiskies made a remarkable global debut by winning multiple awards. GianChand Adambaraa bagged Best Indian Single Malt and Best Indian Whisky at the International Whisky Competition (IWC) in Las Vegas, USA. GianChand Manshaa was awarded Grand Gold/International Whisky of the Year at the International Spirits Award (ISW) in Germany — a true testament to the rise of Indian whisky on the world stage.

Indri Dru

Produced at the Piccadilly distillery, Indri Dru is a cask-strength, non-chill-filtered Indian single malt, bottled at 57.2% ABV after aging in former bourbon barrels. Known for its robust flavours of citrus, spice, vanilla, chocolate, and honey, the whisky takes its name from the Sanskrit word Dru, meaning wood or tree. Indri Dru Single Malt won Best World Whisky at the 1st Annual Miami Global Spirit Awards 2025, and also took home Gold at the International Spirits Challenge.

Rampur Jugalbandi

At the 2025 John Barleycorn Awards in the United States, Rampur Jugalbandi #6 was crowned Best World Single Malt. This limited-edition release, matured in Madeira casks under the unique northern Indian climate, offers floral and citrus notes on the nose, with flavours of caramelised pineapple, apricot, and fruits on the palate. Meanwhile, Rampur Jugalbandi #5 won Gold in the Indian Single Malt – Tokaji Finish category, and Rampur Select added a Double Gold to the tally. Together, these accolades highlight the craftsmanship behind Rampur’s signature single malt expressions.

Paul John

Paul John, often hailed as The Great Indian Single Malt, has consistently won the admiration of whisky lovers across the globe. Decorated with accolades from some of the most esteemed whisky institutions, it has won the Best Indian Single Malt Award, the Best Asian Whisky Award, and the Liquid Gold Award in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible. Among its many recognitions is the Double Gold Award at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. With a wide range of celebrated expressions, Paul John remains a favourite among discerning whisky enthusiasts.

Godawan

With more than 85 accolades to its name, Godawan is India’s most decorated single malt. Its limited-edition expression, Godawan 100, won Single Malt Whisky of the Year at the 2024 London Spirits Competition. In 2025, it also secured two silver medals at the Whisky Wash Awards. Known for its balanced flavour profile with notes of dried fruits, spices, and wood, Godawan is expertly crafted for enjoying neat or in innovative whisky cocktails.

These whiskies stand as proof that Indian single malts have truly come of age, earning global recognition and admiration. Enjoy them sip by sip.
