Karva Chauth, one of the most revered festivals for Hindu married women, is observed for the long life, well-being, and prosperity of their husbands. Women keep a strict Nirjala Vrat, breaking it only after offering Arghya to the moon and drinking water from their husband’s hands.

The festival is celebrated annually on the Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the Kartik month, and devotees follow rituals with great devotion and traditional observance. This year, Karva Chauth falls on Friday, October 10, 2025, with all rituals performed according to auspicious timings.
