Dior will present its next cruise collection in LACMA, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, on May 13, the house revealed Friday. The show will take place on the museum’s grounds, set against the backdrop of LACMA’s recently opened building by Pritzker Prize- winning architect Peter Zumthor.

This marks Jonathan Anderson’s first cruise collection for Dior, presented in one of Los Angeles’ most significant new architectural landmarks.
The Northern Irish designer’s latest ready-to-wear show- Sun King Chic in the Tuileries Gardens- was one of the season’s most outstanding collections. Since Anderson’s arrival at Dior, the house has also ramped up its red-carpet presence, so expect a major turn-out of cinema star power at this show.
Anderson’s cruise debut will also kick off five weeks of international shows by major league fashion houses that will include cruise and special one-off events.
One week after Dior, fellow LVMH brand Louis Vuitton will stage its next cruise show in New York on May 20. Gucci has also chosen New York for its cruise show on May 16, marking the debut resort show by the house’s Georgian creative director Demna. Neither location has been revealed for the moment.
The following month, Max Mara will unveil its next cruise collection with a show in Shanghai on June 16. While in menswear, the hose of Zegna is planning a summer 2027 show in LA on June 5, in a week when it will also unveil the latest edition of Villa Zegna, the brand’s traveling private club.
