Chanel will stage the runway show for the 2027 Métiers d’Art collection in Rome on December 2, 2026. It will be the first show held in Italy in the Matthieu Blazy era. He has been in charge of Chanel’s style for a year-and-a-half, to great acclaim on the part of critics and clients.

The Métiers d’Art show, which has been held every year since 2002, celebrates the artisanal expertise in Chanel’s creations. The Parisian luxury house has revealed the show’s next destination a few days after its cruise collection show in Biarritz.
In Rome, Blazy will stage his second Métiers d’Art event for Chanel, after debuting successfully in New York last December, when the runway show was held inside the city’s subway.
It won’t be Chanel’s first event in Italy’s capital. In 2015, the house held a Métiers d’Art show in Rome with Karl Lagerfeld, then its long-standing creative director.
The December show will strengthen the connection between the house founded by Gabrielle Chanel and Italy. Gabrielle first visited Italy in summer 1920, and in successive Roman stays she cultivated her passion for Renaissance art, Rome’s historical heritage, and Italian cinema.
