The Internet has seen its fair share of wild food experiments. Think Maggi in milkshakes, Gulab Jamun on pizza and ice cream with ketchup, but just when you thought it couldn’t get any weirder, here comes another culinary moment. A viral Instagram video has introduced us to Banana Chaat Masala and let’s just say, fruit lovers may want to skip this.

The now-viral clip, shared with the caption “Banana chaat masala making,” opens with a street vendor introducing his latest Rs 10 masterpiece that has everyone talking. He begins by slicing a fresh banana in half. But things take a dramatic turn when he, instead of sprinkling sugar or adding honey like you would expect, applies bright red pizza sauce. He then sprinkles oregano and a mix of spices, creating a bizarre mash-up of Italian flavours and desi street food flair.

Internet Says Banana Will Never Forgive You

Naturally, the Internet had a meltdown. The comments section quickly turned into a comedy club, with one user joking, “Ye kela kabhi aapko maaf nahi karega (this banana will never forgive you).” Another wrote, “Justice for banana.” Someone else teased, “Taste like pizza, I think.” And of course, there was that one foodie who declared, “Only India can do this and sell it at Rs 10.”

A Bollywood fan added, “Sooryavansham Wala Zeher”.

Madness At Its Peak

One witty viewer even suggested taking the madness to a whole new level. He wrote, “Bhai, ye thoda zyada nahi ho gaya… ab is banana ko pizza me roll karke kha lo (bro, why stop here… roll it in pizza and eat it too).” Meanwhile, others started sharing their own views about the dish and even suggested more ideas, seeking justice for bananas.

The Rs 10 treat has now become a symbol of the Internet’s favourite pastime: reacting to bizarre food inventions. Love it or hate it, Banana Chaat Masala is proof that street food vendors will always find new ways to surprise us. So, would you dare take a bite of banana chaat masala or are you on Team Justice for Banana?
