Weather Update: North India Sizzles Above 45°C as New York Faces Flood-Like Rain Chaos

Extreme weather conditions continue to impact different parts of the world, with severe heatwave conditions gripping North India while heavy rainfall has triggered flood-like situations in New York City. Several cities across northern India are witnessing temperatures crossing 45 degrees Celsius, making daily life increasingly difficult for residents. In Patna, authorities have ordered the closure of schools up to Class 5 due to the intense heatwave and rising health concerns among children. Similar precautions were taken in Lucknow, where schools remained closed amid soaring temperatures and uncomfortable weather conditions. The India Meteorological Department has also issued alerts for multiple states, warning that the heatwave is expected to continue over the coming days with little immediate relief in sight. People across North India are struggling with extreme daytime temperatures, hot winds, and difficult commuting conditions. Streets and markets in many cities appeared less crowded as residents preferred staying indoors to avoid heat-related illnesses. Authorities have advised citizens to remain hydrated and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours. At the same time, continuous rainfall in New York has created serious waterlogging and flood-like conditions in several areas. Viral visuals from the city showed vehicles partially submerged and roads flooded after intense downpours disrupted normal life. Residents faced major travel difficulties as water accumulated on streets and low-lying zones. The contrasting visuals from India and the United States highlight how extreme climate patterns are affecting regions differently, with scorching heatwaves in one part of the world and heavy rain emergencies in another. Weather experts continue monitoring these developments closely as concerns over extreme seasonal conditions grow globally.
