Uttar Pradesh News: CCTV Captures Chajja Collapse Near Banke Bihari Temple, Several Devotees Injured

CCTV footage has emerged of the accident that occurred near the Banke Bihari Temple in Mathura, where a portion of a building’s projecting balcony (chajja) suddenly collapsed, injuring several devotees. The incident took place in a narrow lane near Gate No. 5 of the temple as pilgrims were passing through the area. The footage shows the structure giving way without warning, causing debris to fall onto the crowd and triggering panic among those present. Local residents and bystanders rushed to rescue the injured and shifted them to nearby hospitals, where they are currently receiving treatment. The collapse led to chaos at the site as emergency assistance was provided to the victims. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident and directed officials to ensure that all injured devotees receive proper medical care and necessary assistance. Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the structural failure.
