UP Tragedy: Five Family Members Killed as House Roof Collapses in Muzaffarnagar

Heavy rainfall has caused a tragic incident in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. In Habibpur village, under the Fugana police station area, the roof of a mud house suddenly collapsed due to continuous rain. The collapse buried several members of a family under the debris, resulting in the deaths of five people from the same family. Local police and administrative officials quickly reached the site and launched a rescue operation. With the help of a JCB machine, the debris was cleared, but the five victims could not be saved. Two other family members who were injured in the incident were rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The tragic accident has highlighted the dangers posed by persistent heavy rainfall and weak housing structures in rural areas. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the loss of lives and directed officials to provide all possible assistance and support to the affected family and ensure proper relief measures.
