UP Politics: SP MP Anand Bhadauria Climbs Pole to Remove Anti-Akhilesh Posters in Sitapur

Political tensions escalated in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur after Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Anand Bhadauria personally climbed an electric pole to remove posters allegedly targeting SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. The dramatic visuals quickly went viral on social media, sparking fresh political debate across the state. According to reports, posters criticizing Akhilesh Yadav and questioning the Samajwadi Party’s political approach had been put up at several locations in Sitapur. As soon as party workers informed him about the posters, Dhaurahra MP Anand Bhadauria reached the spot along with supporters and took matters into his own hands. In a striking display of loyalty to his party leadership, Bhadauria was seen climbing a pole and tearing down the posters himself. Videos from the scene showed the MP risking his safety while removing the banners. In some locations, party workers reportedly used elevated platforms and machinery to remove similar posters. The incident has drawn significant attention as anti-SP posters have surfaced not only in Sitapur but also in several other districts, including Lucknow. The posters allegedly accused the Samajwadi Party of promoting “Yadav-centric politics,” a charge that has become a key talking point in Uttar Pradesh’s evolving political landscape ahead of future elections. SP leaders have strongly condemned the campaign, calling it a deliberate attempt to tarnish the party’s image and mislead the public. Reacting to the controversy, Anand Bhadauria termed the act cowardly and demanded strict action against those responsible. He announced that a formal complaint would be submitted to the police, seeking identification of the individuals behind the posters and legal action against them. Police officials have reportedly initiated an investigation and are examining available evidence to determine who was involved in putting up the banners. The incident has once again intensified the political war of words between the ruling and opposition camps in Uttar Pradesh.
