Samajwadi Party has started preparations early for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will officially launch the campaign on March 28 from Noida. The campaign will begin with a PDA (Participation) rally, which is expected to highlight the party’s social coalition formula. The move shows that SP is focusing on long-term election planning by starting nearly 11 months before the elections. Choosing Noida is politically significant, as it is considered a weak region for SP where BJP performed strongly in previous elections. The party strategy is to strengthen its presence in such areas and improve performance where it lagged earlier. The PDA formula, which reportedly helped the party politically in past elections, is expected to be highlighted again during the campaign. Political observers see this as a strategic shift, as SP earlier used to start campaigns from Eastern UP, but now the focus is moving toward Western UP. The early campaign launch also indicates that SP wants to counter BJP’s continuous election-mode strategy and build ground momentum much earlier than usual.
