Udaipur Adventure Scare: Two Tourists Rescued After Getting Stranded 70 Feet Above Ground

A major accident was narrowly avoided at Udaipur’s popular tourist destination, Doodh Talai, after two tourists became stranded on a zip line nearly 70 feet above the ground during adverse weather conditions. The incident has raised serious concerns over safety protocols and operational negligence at adventure tourism facilities. According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when strong winds and storm-like conditions swept through the area. Despite the deteriorating weather, zip line operations reportedly continued, putting visitors at risk. During one such ride, two tourists found themselves stuck mid-air as the zip line malfunctioned or was unable to complete its course due to the weather conditions. Eyewitnesses said the stranded tourists remained suspended at a significant height for an extended period and repeatedly called for help. The situation created panic among visitors gathered at the tourist spot as rescue personnel rushed to the scene. After a challenging rescue operation, emergency teams successfully brought both tourists to safety without any major injuries. Officials are now expected to investigate whether weather safety guidelines were ignored and if the operators failed to suspend activities despite clear risks posed by high-speed winds. The incident has sparked questions about the preparedness of adventure tourism operators during extreme weather conditions and whether adequate emergency response mechanisms were in place. Local authorities may also review safety standards and operational permissions for similar adventure activities in the region. Doodh Talai is among Udaipur’s most visited attractions, drawing thousands of domestic and international tourists each year. The latest incident serves as a reminder of the importance of strict safety compliance in adventure tourism, especially during unpredictable weather conditions.
