Tamil Nadu News: Amit Shah Targets DMK, BJP Launches Poll Campaign in Pudukkottai

In Tamil Nadu, BJP President Amit Shah launched a major election campaign in Pudukkottai, sharply criticizing the ruling DMK government. Addressing a large rally, Shah accused the DMK of allegedly disrespecting the Hindu community and undermining their religious practices. He claimed that the state government has repeatedly interfered with religious events, including Hindu processions and rituals, and alleged that certain health issues, such as dengue and malaria, were used as pretexts to restrict community activities. Shah’s speech framed the upcoming assembly elections as a turning point, asserting that the NDA will form the next government in Tamil Nadu. The BJP chief’s remarks also included strong criticisms of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, whom he accused of failing to uphold constitutional values and the faith of the Hindu community. Shah emphasized that BJP is committed to protecting religious freedoms and ensuring that citizens’ rights are not infringed. The rally marked the formal launch of BJP’s poll campaign in the state, signaling the party’s intention to consolidate support among Hindu voters and forge alliances with regional partners, including the AIADMK, to challenge DMK’s dominance. Political analysts suggest that the rally and Shah’s statements are aimed at mobilizing the electorate by highlighting religious and cultural issues ahead of the elections.
