Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has begun her two-day visit to Assam with prayers at the revered Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati. As the state prepares for assembly elections in the coming months, political activity has intensified, with both the BJP and Congress stepping up their campaigns. During her visit, Priyanka Gandhi is expected to release a “charge sheet” against the BJP-led Assam government, highlighting alleged failures and corruption. The Congress party appears to be placing significant responsibility on her leadership in the state as it attempts to politically corner the ruling party. After offering prayers at the temple, an interesting moment unfolded when a priest stopped her, posed for photographs, and blessed her to become the Prime Minister of India. Priyanka responded with a smile and moved ahead. She is also scheduled to visit the party office and hold several organizational meetings. Speaking briefly to reporters, she said she had just arrived in Assam and would first understand the local situation before making detailed political remarks.
