Parliament Deadlock: Uproar Likely on Final Day of Budget Session Phase-1

The deadlock in Parliament continues as today marks the final day of the first phase of the Budget Session. Fresh disruptions are expected in both Houses, with the Opposition gearing up to raise issues related to a trade deal and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Tensions have escalated after BJP MP Nishikant Dubey moved a motion seeking cancellation of Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha membership. Dubey has alleged that the Leader of the Opposition has behaved irresponsibly and stated that his membership should be revoked. His remarks have further intensified the political confrontation. The Opposition is expected to strongly object to the motion and may create disruptions in the House over what it calls politically motivated targeting. The trade deal issue is also likely to be raised aggressively. With this being the last day of the first phase of the Budget Session, the atmosphere inside Parliament remains tense. Continuous sloganeering and adjournments have already marked earlier proceedings, and similar scenes are anticipated today. All eyes are now on how the Speaker and parliamentary leadership manage the situation amid the escalating war of words between the ruling party and the Opposition.
