News Alert: CBI to Challenge Kejriwal, Sisodia Verdict in Delhi HC; AAP Leaders Vindicated

In a significant development, the Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, along with 23 other accused, were discharged by the Rouse Avenue Court in the high-profile CBI liquor policy case. The court observed that the evidence presented by the CBI lacked credibility and failed to establish a link between the allegations and the witnesses’ statements. This ruling marked a major legal relief for AAP leaders and was widely seen as a victory for truth and justice. However, the CBI has announced plans to challenge the decision in the Delhi High Court, setting the stage for a prolonged legal process. Observers note that the High Court will examine whether the lower court’s assessment of evidence was accurate, and all parties involved, including Kejriwal and Sisodia, will be issued notices. Following the verdict, Kejriwal accused Narendra Modi and Amit Shah of orchestrating political conspiracies against AAP. He emphasized that attempts to malign honest leaders politically cannot undermine the party’s integrity. The judgment reinforces AAP’s position ahead of upcoming state elections and highlights the importance of judicial independence and constitutional safeguards in India’s democracy.
