NEWS ALERT: Ayodhya Temple Donation Probe Intensifies as Police Raid Accused Homes Before Court Hearing

The investigation into the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has entered a critical phase, with police conducting coordinated raids at the residences of all eight accused ahead of their scheduled court appearance. Search operations were carried out simultaneously across multiple locations as investigators sought to strengthen the evidence in the high-profile case. Police teams searched the homes of key accused, including Anukalp Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Tillu Yadav, Manish Yadav, and others, while questioning family members, examining financial records, property documents, jewellery, and other materials that could help establish the alleged money trail. Officials also interacted with neighbors to gather additional information regarding the accused and their financial activities. Investigators are focusing on tracing the movement of funds after earlier recoveries of significant cash during the probe. Authorities are assessing whether additional assets or financial transactions are linked to the alleged irregularities in the counting and handling of temple donations. The judicial custody of the accused is set to expire, and police are expected to decide whether to seek further custodial remand based on evidence collected during the latest searches. Officials indicated that the ongoing investigation could expand if new individuals are found to have played a role in the alleged offence. Separately, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust confirmed that resignation letters submitted by senior office-bearers have been received and will be considered during a meeting scheduled for July 11. Meanwhile, political reactions continue, with opposition leaders demanding a wider investigation while others have urged against politicising the matter until the legal process reaches its conclusion.
