NEET Paper Leak: Government Holds High-Level Emergency Meeting

The Indian government is taking strong action in the NEET paper leak case. A high-level meeting was held late at night at the residence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss the upcoming NEET examination and strengthen the examination process. Senior officials from the Higher Education Department, School Education Department, NTA, CBSE, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti attended the meeting. Discussions focused on exam security, management, and preventing future leaks. So far, seven accused have been arrested, while the mastermind is still being searched for. Arrests have been made across several states. Among those arrested are Manisha Waghmare, Shubham Khenar, Dhananjay Lokhanda, Shubham Mangalal Vival, Vikas Vival, Dinesh Vival, and Yash Yadav. Some of the accused have been brought to Delhi for questioning. The CBI has started interrogating them after a Delhi court sent them to seven days of CBI custody. Further arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
