A major controversy has erupted in Kolkata outside the Sheikhawat Memorial School strong room, where TMC workers have alleged a serious security breach. They claim that a vehicle carrying a BJP flag was allowed inside without proper checking, raising concerns about election security. The vehicle reportedly entered the premises, and several individuals allegedly went inside the strong room, prompting strong protests from TMC supporters. Security personnel and officials have been accused of negligence, though the matter is still under investigation. At the same time, West Bengal’s political atmosphere remains highly charged ahead of counting day. The Election Commission has ordered repolling in all booths of Falta constituency on May 21 after complaints of large-scale irregularities during earlier voting. TMC supporters have alleged intimidation and malpractice, while security has been tightened with central forces deployed. Adding to the political tension, Mumbai betting market predictions suggest a major electoral shift in West Bengal, projecting BJP ahead with 175–185 seats and TMC at 127–132 seats. Meanwhile, BJP leaders are seen performing prayers across the state ahead of results, reflecting high anticipation as counting day approaches.
