A major fire broke out in a factory located in the Sayan area of Surat, Gujarat, causing panic in the industrial region. The blaze spread rapidly, engulfing the entire building and sending thick black smoke into the sky, which was visible from a distance. According to initial reports, six workers who were trapped inside the factory were safely rescued by emergency teams. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far. Fire brigade units rushed to the spot and launched extensive efforts to bring the fire under control, although the intensity of the flames made initial firefighting efforts difficult. By the time fire tenders reached the location, the factory had already been severely damaged. Authorities focused on preventing the fire from spreading to nearby industrial units, given the densely packed nature of the area. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Officials are expected to conduct a detailed investigation once the situation is fully under control. The incident has once again raised concerns about fire safety standards in industrial zones.
