Political tensions have escalated within the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena after reports claimed that six of the party’s nine Lok Sabha MPs have rebelled and are preparing to join the Eknath Shinde faction. According to sources, the rebel MPs are expected to hold a meeting at MP Shrikant Shinde’s residence in Delhi, where Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde may also be present. Following the meeting, the MPs could approach the Lok Sabha Speaker to stake claim as a separate group before eventually merging with the Shinde-led Shiv Sena. The reported rebel leaders include Sanjay Dina Patil, Sanjay Deshmukh, Nagesh Bapurao Patil, Om Prakash Raje Nimbalkar, Bhausaheb Rajaram Wakchaure, and Sanjay Haribhau Jadhav. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has accused political rivals of attempting to buy MPs by offering ₹15 crore each as an advance payment. The allegations have further intensified the political confrontation, though no independent confirmation of the claims has been provided.
