In Kolkata, after Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari was allegedly surrounded during his visit to a polling area, a political controversy erupted. While Adhikari claimed he was attacked and his movement was obstructed during voting, the All India Trinamool Congress strongly rejected the allegation. TMC leader Kajori (party representative) stated that no attack took place and accused Suvendu Adhikari of making false claims and attempting to influence voters during polling. She further said that the voting process was peaceful and that any gathering around him was a reaction to his presence and statements, not an act of violence. The incident has triggered a political war of words between the two sides, with both parties blaming each other while polling continues across West Bengal under tight security.
