Exclusive court recovery records accessed by the media provide fresh insight into the ongoing investigation into the alleged Ayodhya temple offering theft case. According to documents submitted by investigators before the court, recoveries were made from seven of the eight accused, while no recovery was reportedly recorded from the eighth accused. Among the most significant recoveries detailed in the documents is the seizure linked to accused Avinash Shukla. Investigators reportedly recovered ₹20,39,220 in cash, along with 1,121 US dollars. The recovery memo also lists valuables including a silver-colored metal item weighing approximately 159 grams, an eight-gram yellow metal chain, and a 3.44-gram yellow metal ring. These items have been documented as part of the official seizure record presented during the investigation. The records further state that the recovered property had allegedly been identified before the formal police recovery process, with investigators examining the sequence of events surrounding the recovery and subsequent registration of the criminal case. Authorities have questioned the accused regarding the source of the recovered cash and valuables while continuing to examine financial records, witness statements, and other evidence. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials are expected to continue questioning the accused as part of the evidence-gathering process. The court documents form part of the prosecution’s case and will be examined during judicial proceedings. It is important to note that these recovery records reflect allegations and evidence collected during the investigation. They do not amount to a judicial finding of guilt. Under Indian law, every accused person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a competent court. Further findings will depend on the outcome of the investigation and the legal process.
