Dhar Basant Panchami 2026: Historic Basant Panchami Celebrations Under Tight Security at Dhar’s Bhojshala

Today, Dhar’s Bhojshala witnessed grand Basant Panchami celebrations with devotees gathering from early morning to honor Maa Saraswati. Marking a historic day, the Hindu community performed continuous rituals, prayers, and yagnas while strict security measures ensured smooth proceedings. The Supreme Court’s recent order allowed uninterrupted worship from sunrise to sunset for Hindus, while the Muslim community conducted their Jumma prayers between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM at designated spaces within the extended campus, maintaining harmony and religious coexistence. Authorities deployed police, RAF, and CRPF personnel, along with drone surveillance and CCTV monitoring, to manage the massive gathering efficiently. Bhojshala, historically significant for hosting royal yagnas, showcased long queues of devoted visitors paying homage to the symbolic representation of Maa Saraswati, as the original idol remains in a London museum. The festival highlights not only spiritual devotion but also legal coordination in religious management, reflecting India’s diverse cultural landscape. Pilgrims celebrated the auspicious occasion while adhering to organized schedules, blending tradition with contemporary civic oversight. The vibrant atmosphere, extensive security planning, and adherence to Supreme Court guidelines made this year’s Basant Panchami a remarkable example of peaceful religious observance in India.
