The aftermath of the Delhi Red Fort car blast continues to unfold as the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team intensifies its investigation. Officials have collected 42 critical samples from the explosion site, including debris, car components, and live cartridges. Some rubble has also been cleared after ensuring all potential evidence was secured. The blast area remains under tight security, with barricades restricting public access to the sensitive Red Fort–Chandni Chowk zone, which usually teems with visitors. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken charge of the case, linking the incident to suspected operatives across multiple states. Early findings suggest the blast was not a planned suicide attack but possibly a panic-triggered explosion. Meanwhile, the central government is on high alert. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, returning from his Bhutan visit, is set to chair a key meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security this evening to review the situation. The Home Ministry and intelligence agencies, including Delhi Police, IB, and NSG, are coordinating closely with NIA. Officials confirm that no conspirator will be spared, as the government vows to reach the root of the plot and prevent any future terror attempts.
