India has witnessed another major inflation shock as fuel prices have increased nationwide. Petrol has become costlier by ₹3 per litre and diesel by ₹3.11 per litre, effective from today morning. In Delhi, petrol prices have risen from ₹94.77 to ₹97.77 per litre, while diesel has increased from ₹87.67 to ₹90.67 per litre. CNG prices have also gone up by ₹2 per kilogram, adding further pressure on transport costs. The hike is expected to impact daily essentials such as food, milk, vegetables, and transportation, as diesel plays a key role in logistics and agriculture. Experts and reporters suggest that rising global oil prices and ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia have contributed to the increase. Public reactions remain mixed, with some blaming global conflicts while others question the timing and economic impact. Analysts warn that continued volatility in crude oil markets could further affect inflation and household budgets in the coming days.
