Delhi Police have made a significant breakthrough in the brutal murder of a UPSC aspirant, the daughter of an IRS officer, in East of Kailash. The accused domestic help, who was arrested from a hotel in Dwarka, is currently under a four-day police remand. During interrogation, authorities recovered over ₹1 lakh in cash and stolen jewelry hidden at his hideout. The investigation revealed that the accused has a prior criminal record, including two rape charges. Police recently conducted a crime scene recreation to map his entry and exit routes. It appears the motive was robbery to settle personal debts, and investigators are now identifying individuals he owed money to. The arrest was facilitated by tracking the suspect’s social media activity and Wi-Fi logs. Police are now probing whether the accused had any accomplices in the planning or execution of the crime.
