Breaking: Yogi Adityanath Hails NDA Gains as Opposition Spars Over Polarisation Claims

Amid ongoing counting trends across five states, Yogi Adityanath has praised the performance of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), highlighting its expanding footprint across regions. Speaking during a government meeting in Uttar Pradesh, he congratulated alliance partners for their gains in states including West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry, while also noting improved performance in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Adityanath emphasized that the results reflect growing public trust in the NDA’s governance model. He pointed out that even in states where the alliance is not forming the government, such as Kerala, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has improved its vote share, signaling a broader acceptance among voters. In Tamil Nadu, he noted that the AIADMK-BJP alliance has strengthened its presence against the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)-led coalition. Meanwhile, political debate has intensified, with opposition parties including the Indian National Congress and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) raising concerns over issues such as polarization and campaign narratives. Congress leaders accused the BJP of engaging in divisive politics, while TMC representatives cautioned against premature conclusions, asserting that final results are still awaited. BJP leaders strongly rejected these allegations, maintaining that their electoral gains are driven by development-focused policies and grassroots outreach. They argued that accusations of polarization are often politically motivated and do not reflect the broader voter sentiment. The exchanges underscore a deepening political divide, with competing narratives emerging around governance, identity politics, and electoral integrity. As counting continues and final outcomes approach, the results are expected to have far-reaching implications for national politics and future electoral strategies across India.
