Breaking: VB-G Ram G Rural Jobs Bill 2025 Cleared by Parliament, Sent to President Amid Opposition Uproar

The Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) Bill 2025, also known as the VBG Ram G Bill, has been passed by both Houses of Parliament. After clearing the Lok Sabha, the Rajya Sabha approved the bill late at night through a voice vote amid heavy sloganeering. Opposition MPs staged protests, demanded the bill be sent to a Select Committee, and walked out of the House before voting. Despite the absence of opposition members, the bill was passed and has now been sent to the President for assent. Once approved, it will become law. The opposition, led by Congress, has accused the government of undermining rural employment rights and signaled plans to continue political resistance.
