A tense situation was reported from the Lutyens’ Delhi area near Pandara Park after alleged stone-pelting disrupted a religious programme dedicated to the ceremonial “wedding” of Radha Rani. The incident occurred while a large number of devotees were attending the ongoing three-day event, which included bhajans and other religious rituals. According to claims made by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) national spokesperson Vinod Bansal, unidentified miscreants allegedly threw stones, coconuts, and glass objects towards the gathering. Organisers stated that the incident took place around 5:30 PM, when devotees were seated under a temporary shamiana. An organiser, SP Meni, said that a green coconut first struck a 60-year-old woman, Madhu Manocha, causing a head injury. She was rushed to hospital, where her treatment is currently underway and further medical examinations, including a possible CT scan, are being conducted. Another individual reportedly suffered minor swelling on the hand. Delhi Police reached the spot soon after being informed and have launched an investigation into the incident. Sources said that two individuals have been detained for questioning, though their identities have not been officially confirmed. Authorities are examining CCTV footage and speaking to local residents as part of the probe. Police have assured strict action once the investigation is completed.
