Russian President Vladimir Putin will shortly arrive at Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi as part of his second day of the official India visit. Ahead of his arrival, Rajghat has been extensively decorated, and visuals from early morning show security forces fully deployed and traffic diversions activated across major routes in the capital. No public entry is permitted at the memorial during this period. Putin, who landed at Palam airport on the evening of December 4, was personally received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, breaking standard protocol. Today’s schedule begins with his ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan, followed by a Guard of Honour. After that, he will reach Rajghat around 11 AM. Delhi Police personnel were seen receiving detailed briefings on security arrangements, movement restrictions, and crowd control. Several routes including ITO, BSZ Marg, Delhi Gate, LNJP Marg, and the Rajghat crossing have been placed under restrictions, with multiple diversions announced from 10 AM onward. Following his Rajghat visit, President Putin is scheduled to meet the Indian leadership at Hyderabad House. A Business Forum has also been organised at Bharat Mandapam, which has been prepared with elaborate arrangements for the high-profile engagements. ABP News will continue bringing every update as it happens.
