Breaking News: Protests Intensify in Delhi Against Alleged Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, Heavy Police Deployment Outside High Commission

Anger continues to escalate across India over the alleged targeting of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, following reports of the killing of a Hindu youth. In Delhi, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a strong protest, demanding protection for Hindus in Bangladesh and an end to alleged violence. Protesters attempted to march towards the Bangladesh High Commission, prompting authorities to enforce strict security measures. Delhi Police installed multiple layers of barricades and deployed a large number of personnel, including paramilitary forces, to prevent protesters from reaching the High Commission. Despite the arrangements, some protesters managed to break through the first barricade, after which police had to use mild force and detain a few individuals to maintain law and order. Several DTC buses were stationed in the area to detain protesters if required. Placards demanding justice and protection for Bangladeshi Hindus were visible, with slogans highlighting concerns over alleged human rights violations. Senior police officials monitored the situation closely as the area was effectively cordoned off, allowing only authorized vehicles. Ground reports indicated that the protest remained tense but largely controlled. Law enforcement agencies emphasized that the security measures were aimed at preventing any untoward incident and ensuring the safety of diplomatic premises amid rising emotions.
