The tragic death of engineer Yuvraj in Noida has shaken the entire nation, highlighting systemic negligence and administrative lapses. Following the incident, an SIT (Special Investigation Team) was formed to probe the circumstances surrounding the accident and ensure justice for Yuvraj and his family. Continuous investigation is underway, and the SIT is visiting the site for the second consecutive day to gather evidence and assess irregularities. Yuvraj’s father had earlier pointed out that a truck had met with an accident at the same spot days before, but the administration failed to take corrective measures, such as installing reflectors or warning signs. Eyewitnesses initially accused the police and fire brigade of inaction, claiming Yuvraj had been alive for nearly 1.5 hours, signaling for help while around 125 people, including 15–20 police personnel, were present. Despite the arrival of SDRF, NDRF, and the fire brigade, poor visibility and confusion delayed rescue efforts. However, the eyewitness later changed his statement, claiming that the police had coerced him into making a video supporting their actions. He alleged that he and his family had been threatened and forced to record the video to show that authorities had been active. This contradiction has raised further questions about accountability and transparency in the case.
