BREAKING NEWS: High-Level Meeting at Rajnath Singh Residence on NEET Security, CBSE–NTA Officials Present

A major development is emerging regarding the NEET examination, as a high-level meeting is currently underway at Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s residence. According to sources, the meeting includes Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, senior officials from the National Testing Agency (NTA), CBSE representatives, and top government officers, including officials linked to the Prime Minister’s Office. The discussion is focused on strengthening the security framework for the upcoming NEET examination following recent concerns over paper leak incidents in previous years. Authorities are reportedly reviewing measures to make the examination process more secure and “foolproof” to ensure fairness for lakhs of students across the country. Sources indicate that the government is examining multiple layers of security protocols, including examination conduct, question paper handling, and monitoring systems. There are also discussions on involving additional security mechanisms and inter-agency coordination to prevent any breach in the examination process. The development comes after NEET-related controversies and the cancellation of a previous examination cycle, with a fresh exam schedule reportedly set for 21 June. The government is said to be prioritising student concerns, admission delays, and administrative challenges arising from the situation. While speculation has emerged regarding the possible involvement of defence or security forces in supporting examination security arrangements, officials have not issued any formal confirmation on this aspect so far. The ongoing meeting is expected to finalise key recommendations for ensuring a secure and transparent examination process.
