Breaking News: Delhi Police Probe Reveals Social Media Role in Turkmen Gate Violence, YouTuber Salman Under Scanner

The picture is becoming clearer as Delhi Police intensifies its investigation into the violence that erupted near Faiz-e-Ilahi Mosque at Turkmen Gate. A key question before investigators is how a large crowd suddenly gathered late at night. During the probe, the name of a YouTuber identified as Salman has surfaced. Police sources say Salman allegedly used social media platforms like YouTube and WhatsApp to circulate videos and audio messages, provoking people and urging them to gather near the mosque. Another accused, Sameer, has already been arrested, while Salman is currently absconding. Around 30 more individuals have been identified through CCTV footage. Police say misinformation and provocative content spread online played a major role in mobilizing the crowd and triggering stone-pelting.
