Delhi-NCR residents have been hit with another inflation shock as CNG prices have increased once again from today. The price of compressed natural gas has been raised by ₹2 per kilogram in Delhi, taking the new rate to ₹83.09 per kg from the earlier ₹81.09 per kg. This marks a sharp rise of ₹6 within just 11 days, adding further pressure on commuters and transport operators already struggling with rising fuel costs. The latest hike comes a day after petrol and diesel prices were also increased, leading to concerns that CNG prices could soon follow the same trend. Those fears have now turned into reality. The repeated increase in fuel prices is expected to impact daily travel expenses, auto-rickshaw fares, cab services, and transportation costs across the Delhi-NCR region. Experts believe the continuous rise in fuel prices could further contribute to inflation in essential goods and services. Consumers are expressing concern over the growing financial burden as fuel costs continue to rise steadily.
