An air ambulance traveling from Ranchi to Delhi crashed in Chatra district of Jharkhand on Monday night, February 23, 2026. All seven people on board, including a patient, lost their lives in the tragic incident. According to officials, the aircraft had requested a route diversion due to adverse weather conditions shortly after takeoff. However, communication with air traffic control was lost soon afterward. Emergency teams later confirmed that the plane had crashed, leaving no survivors. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will conduct a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Investigators are expected to analyze weather data, technical aspects, and flight records. The accident has once again raised concerns over aviation safety standards, especially coming close on the heels of the recent Baramati crash, intensifying scrutiny within the aviation sector.
