Breaking News: AAP Leader Lucky Oberoi Shot Dead Outside Gurdwara in Jalandhar

A senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Lucky Oberoi, was shot dead in a brazen attack in Jalandhar on Sunday morning, triggering political shockwaves and raising serious law-and-order concerns. According to initial reports, the incident occurred when Oberoi was stepping out of a gurdwara in the Model Town area. As he was about to get into his car after offering prayers, two unidentified assailants arrived on a motorcycle and opened indiscriminate fire. Nearly ten rounds were fired at close range, leaving Oberoi critically injured. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The attackers fled the scene swiftly after carrying out the attack. Police teams reached the spot soon after the incident, cordoned off the area, and launched a manhunt for the suspects. CCTV footage from nearby locations is being examined to identify the attackers and trace their escape route. Senior police officials said that multiple angles, including political rivalry and personal enmity, are being investigated. The murder has sparked outrage among AAP leaders and supporters, who have demanded swift arrests and strict action against those responsible. Security has been tightened in sensitive areas across Jalandhar following the killing.
