Breaking: NEET Leak Protest Erupts in Lucknow, Students Detained During Demonstration Against NTA

Massive protests broke out in Lucknow over the NEET UG paper leak controversy, with angry students taking to the streets to protest against the cancellation of the examination and alleged failures in the system. Dramatic scenes unfolded outside University of Lucknow where police detained several students and shifted them into police vans during the demonstration. According to reports, members of the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha and National Students’ Union of India jointly organized the protest at the university’s Gate Number 1. Students raised slogans against the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Union Education Ministry, accusing authorities of failing to conduct a fair and secure examination. The protests come after the NEET UG examination was cancelled following allegations of a large-scale interstate paper leak racket. Students claimed months of hard work had been wasted and demanded strict action against those responsible for the leak. Demonstrators also questioned repeated examination failures despite earlier controversies in previous years. Heavy police deployment was seen around the protest site as officers attempted to prevent the agitation from escalating. Several students were reportedly taken into custody while continuing to raise slogans demanding justice and transparency in the examination process. The anger over the NEET controversy is now spreading across multiple states, with protests being reported from different cities as students and parents express frustration over uncertainty surrounding re-examinations and future admissions. Political organizations and student groups have intensified pressure on the government, while calls for accountability, examination reforms, and stronger anti-paper leak measures continue to grow nationwide.
