Breaking: Major Drug Nexus Exposed as Key Accused Names Bollywood Figures in Ongoing Probe

Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell has intensified its investigation into a sprawling MD drug network after key accused Salim Sheikh made explosive claims linking the syndicate to high-profile Bollywood personalities. The case, which first surfaced in February 2024 with the arrest of a woman in Mumbai’s Kurla area, has now widened significantly. The accused had initially revealed that the MD being seized was not part of a small local supply but originated from a full-scale illegal manufacturing unit operating in Maharashtra’s Sangli district. According to investigators, this unit is believed to be one of the largest MD factories connected to the D-Company drug pipeline, allegedly overseen in India by Saleem Dola, who has reportedly shifted from Dubai to Turkey to avoid extradition. Subsequent arrests— including that of Sajid alias Danish from Mira Road— revealed financial trails, chat records, and links to international parties held in Dubai and other countries. Following these disclosures, actors Orry, Shakti Kapoor, and Siddhanth Kapoor have been questioned. Police emphasise that statements alone are insufficient and every claim is being verified with evidence such as travel records, chats, bank statements, and digital trails. The investigation continues, with more celebrities expected to be summoned in the coming days.
