Flood-like conditions have gripped Madhya Pradesh’s Sindhwara region after the Jam river overflowed, submerging several villages including Tegao, Mohi and Peepal Pani. Roads and small bridges connecting nearby towns were completely inundated, cutting off transport links. Despite repeated warnings from the administration to stay away from waterlogged roads and bridges, many locals attempted to cross. A tragic accident followed when a severe collision left three people dead on the spot, while another critically injured youth is undergoing treatment in hospital. Shocking visuals of rising water levels and submerged homes have raised fresh concerns about safety in flood-hit areas. In a separate incident from Bundi district in Rajasthan, panic spread when a Bolero vehicle fell into the Mej river. Eyewitnesses claimed multiple passengers were inside the vehicle, but the exact number remains unclear. Strong water currents are suspected to have swept the vehicle downstream. SDRF and Civil Defence teams, assisted by divers, launched a night-long rescue operation, but no success has been reported so far. Large crowds of villagers gathered near the site, causing massive traffic jams on the adjoining highway until police arrived to clear the way. Rescue operations continue in both states amid rising danger.
