On Wednesday, more than 200 IndiGo flights were cancelled across multiple states, adding to travel chaos and long delays at airports nationwide. In a tragic incident reported from Lucknow Airport, Anoop Pandey, a resident of Kalyanpur in Kanpur, died after suffering a heart attack at the airport. According to reports, he collapsed after experiencing severe distress caused by overcrowding and confusion at the terminal. On-site security personnel attempted to administer CPR, but despite their efforts, his life could not be saved. Family members of the deceased have alleged that the airport lacked proper medical emergency facilities and that no ambulance service was immediately available. They claimed that timely medical support could have possibly saved his life. The incident has intensified concerns about passenger safety and emergency preparedness at major airports, especially during large-scale flight disruptions. Meanwhile, IndiGo Airlines continues to face criticism as passengers struggle with repeated cancellations, uncertainty, and lack of clear communication.
