BREAKING: Heavy Monsoon Rains Trigger Flood Chaos Across Multiple Indian States

Heavy monsoon rains have triggered flood-like conditions across several parts of India, disrupting normal life and causing widespread damage. States including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat are witnessing overflowing rivers, submerged roads, waterlogged residential areas, and damaged infrastructure. In Kabirdham (Kawardha), Chhattisgarh, a pickup truck carrying 20–25 passengers became stranded while attempting to cross a flooded stretch. Villagers formed a human chain and successfully rescued the passengers, many of whom were women, children, and elderly people. In Katni, Madhya Pradesh, a causeway over the Baelkund River was washed away, cutting off connectivity to several villages. Similar conditions have been reported in Harda, where overflowing rivers and streams have submerged roads, schools, and public spaces, disrupting transportation and daily activities. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall has also affected Kolhapur in Maharashtra, Rajkot, Dang, and Junagadh in Gujarat, as well as Thane, where a lake is overflowing. Authorities have urged residents to avoid crossing flooded roads, bridges, and overflowing streams, warning that strong currents pose a serious risk to life.
